Went to the dr with my sister, Kate, today.
Most importantly, yes they took the cath. I'm a free woman!!! I should have asked to burn it. I was very passionate about getting rid of it!!!
Dr. M says they got all of the cancer with good margins. (That's good!! I had plenty of surgery, no more desired - Thanks very much!!!)
She was kind of in a rush and we didn't get to talk much. She is sending us on to the oncologist. So I will have more detailed info after we talk to him. Kate will set up an appt for asap.
There is the threat of chemo but it sounds like I may get away with no further treatment. The oncologist will give us our options and explain more.
I can drive again after 2 weeks out from the operation if I am off of pain pills by then. Watch out world, I'm coming back!!!
Still very tired but much better than last week!!!
love
Fran

Cuz,
Woohoo!!! That sounds so good, that you'll be back to driving soon. Maybe we'll have to revisit The Cheesecake Factory and/or other great restaurants.
Best wishes with your ongoing treatment. See ya in July...
love,
MC
Franny,
It was GREAT talking to you today and hearing your good news! This blog is such a good idea. You continue to amaze me with your knowledge of the high-tech and cool things (your blue tooth phone, your ipod, etc.) I want to be like you when I grow up! Keep practicing your relaxing skills and hopefully the joy of eating will return to you soon. (We have had some good times sharing our love of food!) In the meantime, this "undomestic goddess" will continue to miss you at work. (By the way, your desk looks fabulous!) Take Care! Much love, Diane
Hi Frannie,
I'm so glad to hear you are feeling better!! I love your spirit about everything and I can't wait to see you the next time you are in the office. Keep that spirit up and I know everyone in the office can't wait to see you. We've missed you a lot and can't wait until your feeling 100% again!
Hi Fran! It's nice to see that you're feeling better. You're a strong lady. Ooooh a cath. My most humble sympathy on that. My Mom had one after her surgery and needless to say she was not a happy camper. We all miss you and can't wait for you to come back. Take care
Jenn Nail
