I give up. I just cant keep up letting you all know what is going on with me. I have made the huge decision to set up a blog (with the help of my techie niece, Chrissie)!
Having never had major surgery before, I am feeling like a person who is relearning how to walk and move. I tried to get up by myself today and landed \on the floor. Chrissie heard the thud and came right up. Everything is peachy now but my confidence is a little too much and my sister the nurse, Katy, has been having trouble with her sickest child.
I'm staying with my sister Kate and nieces, Chrissie & Lauren. I have my cell but I dont always answer due to exhaustion!!!
We wont have results from the pathology lab until Tuesday. Meanwhile, I am sleeping a lot and every morning I say to myself, "Only 3 or (whatever#) days left until they take the catheter off." Yes, life is simple! I'm not very hungry-not the usual for me!!!!! So, I'm happy about that!!!!
I really appreciate all you all's notes of encouragement and I will try to keep in touch as much as possible. It's these times that really let me know how much I am loved.
Thanks!!!!

Franny,
I have been thinking of you every day! Thanks for writing this blog--even that seems as if it'd take up so much energy. (Not as much as telling fifty people the same thing over and over, I suppose.) Good idea.
I love you and will visit in a few weeks with the other Geddises!
Love,
Janet
Fran,
Take it easy and we'll talk after you feel better and stronger. I am glad Kate and her girls are there for you, as I am sure your other sibs are, too.
See you in July, I hope. Love,
Your best cousin MC
Hi Fran,
This is SO great! I haven't tried to contact you directly because I know how exhausting such surgeries can be, but you've been on my mind many times each day. Take it easy; you'll get there.
Love,
Lynn S
Hola Fran,
June of 2007 you endured the sweat and agony of moving - then you endured the pain and agony of surgery in June of 2008. Geez, I can't wait to see what you have in mind for June of 2009 - ha ha !!
This blog is a wonderful idea. Keep us posted as to when you'll be home, and I'll bring over the chicken soup !

Dear Franny, Had NO IDEA!!!!I will be praying. Sometimes on the journey we do not get to choose who our traveling compainions will be and what baggage we will get to take. May this become a path where you find that the Risen Lord has been walking along side you every moment, just like the discouraged disciples on the road to Emmaus.
P.S. sending up prayers for speedy recovery and favorable test results.
Thank you for sending me the link to this blog. I will be checking on it, and your updates.
May the Lord's healing hand be upon you now.
Love from Texas,
Lynn
PS - Hope that you get your appetite back for desserts soon! :)
